I spent this year coaching at Tennis Academy Mallorca in Spain — 15 courts, one of the busiest and most respected academies on the island, with players arriving from across Europe and beyond. And on the notice board in the clubhouse, there were still paper notes pinned up: "Looking for a hitting partner, call Maria."
